Family Friendly

Families are specially welcome to the ECM34

We would like to promote and facilitate the attendance to the ECM34 to those participants that have children.

CHILDCARE

Details of the Childcare Service:

The childcare service will be available during the ECM34 from August 27-30, 2024, from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The service is dedicated to children aged 3-11 years.

The service is not available during EPDIC18

Limited availability.  Priority will be given to those who have confirmed the expression of interest.

Childcare Overview:

The Childcare is designed for children in preschool, primary, and lower secondary school. It aims to be a space for play, fun, and exploration, encouraging self-awareness and interaction with others. The area will be supervised by two specialized educators.

Throughout the day, children will engage in activities focused on:

  •         Movement and Coordination

  •         Emotions

  •         Self and Other Awareness

  •         Creativity

  •         Cooperation and Competition

Activities example:

  • Welcome and Team Building: We will start by getting to know each other and forming teams, working on being part of a group as a strength for individual growth. Activities include team games, creating flags, logos, anthems, and badges that will accompany the different groups throughout the day.

  • Emotions in Play: This activity aims to discover the hidden talents of the children. Through theater workshops, participants will be encouraged to explore their abilities, dispositions, and talents, while also overcoming limitations and fears by stepping into the roles of different characters.

  • Ideas from Nature: A workshop dedicated to recycling and scientific experiments, allowing children to discover nature and its possibilities. They will have access to various materials from the Earth and daily life to create art, tools, and simple chemistry experiments.

The space will be equipped with dedicated areas for meals (the management of which is to be defined). Educators will assist children during meals and with personal hygiene.

Access to the Childcare:

Children can participate in activities after registration. A reference adult will be asked to provide a contact number for emergencies and to sign a regulation adhering to the Childcare guidelines. Children will be under the responsibility of the educators present and will not be allowed to move freely within the Congress Center. Each participant will receive an identification badge.
