Instructions for PRESENTERS

ORAL PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS

Oral presentations slides should be prepared according to the following guidelines:

you can use the ECM 2024 .ppt template

OR

your institutional template by using ECM34 logo and the following requirements:

  • Presentations may be provided in the following formats: Microsoft Power point OR Adobe Acrobat pdf  OR  Apple KeyNote.

  • The setting of the document must be in the extended format 16:9, 1920 * 1080 pixels.

  • If special characters are used, they must be attached to the presentation, as well as all dynamic media, video or audio, to be delivered in a folder attached to the presentation file.

  • It is kindly recommended that font sizes appropriate for public video projection (not less than 14pt.) are used.

  • 60 minutes is the time allotted to present the keynote lecture.

  • 30 minutes is the time allotted to present the oral communication of MS

  • for short talks at the end of MS: please check your day and timetable by clicking on the MS code HERE

 

SLIDE CENTER
The Slide Center will be open at the Congress Venue, according to the congress timetable.

Please make sure your slides are delivered to the slide center, at least two hours before the Session starts.

POSTER DESIGN

​Dimensions: A0 format - vertical 

  • Ensure your poster clearly conveys your research objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions.

  • Use a logical and visually appealing layout. Employ sections with headings such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.

  • Include high-quality images, charts, and graphs. Make sure they are relevant and enhance understanding.

  • Use bullet points for concise information. Keep text minimal and legible from a distance

  • Include your institution’s logo and your contact information.

PRACTICE YOUR PRESENTATION

  • Prepare a 1-2 minute summary of your poster.

  • Be ready to delve into specific sections of your research.

  • Think of potential questions and practice your responses.

 

SETTING UP AT THE CONFERENCE

  • Set up your poster before the session begins! Further info on display instructions will follow right before the event

  • Locate your assigned poster board.

  • You will find anything all necessary supplies (e.g., push pins, tape) for mounting your poster on site.

  • Center your poster on the board and ensure it is securely fastened and straight.

 

DURING POSTER SESSIONS

  • Stand by your poster throughout the session.

  • Smile and make eye contact with attendees. Be approachable and open to discussion.

  • Start with your prepared elevator pitch when attendees approach.

  • Engage in conversation, ask questions, and show enthusiasm for your research.

  • Explain your research clearly and concisely. Avoid jargon unless necessary and always clarify it.

Any posters left behind will be disposed of

Poster presenters can take advantage of an on-site service for poster printing.
