Your submitted abstract will be considered for multiple awards, ensuring eligibility criteria are met.

After July 15th, all those who have submitted an abstract will receive an email with instructions on how to apply for the poster awards.

Poster Prizes

The IUCr Executive Committee is pleased to continue the series of IUCr Journals awards to be presented at meetings of the Regional Associates.

AWARDED FOR: the best poster in each of the following three categories: Structural biology, Structural chemistry and Applied crystallography

ELIGIBILITY:  a graduate or undergraduate student

AWARD VALUE: an IUCr Journals open-access voucher

ECA IET SIG 6 Poster Prize: Prof Jacek Grochowski In Memoriam

The ECA IET SIG-06 is pleased to continue to award the ECA IET SIG 6 Poster Prize: Prof Jacek Grochowski In Memoriam with the support of Strumenti Scientifici CINEL srl, Vigonza, PD, Italy.

AWARDED FOR:  original research in the areas of the development of innovative instrumentation for data collection with photons, neutrons and electrons or NMR.

ELIGIBILITY:  submitted abstract to microsymposia M3, M6 ,M9, M16, M19, M23, M25, M27, M35, M40. Posters from other mycrosymposia will be considered upon request.

AWARD VALUE: Certificate and cash prize of 150 EUR

Poster Award

AWARDED FOR:  original research in the areas of Electron Crystallography     

ELIGIBILITY:  Students who are currently doing their PhD with submitted abstract to microsymposia M15, M16, M20, M21, but we always recommend to the jury to choose posters from any MS where the poster is related to Electron Crystallography

AWARD VALUE: Cash prize of 250 EUR

POSTER PRIZE FOR YOUNGER SCIENTISTS

The CCDC will be happy to offer two poster prizes at ECM34.

 

AWARDED FOR:  This prize is awarded to posters reporting original research in the field of chemical crystallography or the application of crystallographic information to structural chemistry. This includes advances in instrumental, experimental, theoretical or computational techniques that contribute to this field.

ELIGIBILITY:  Early career scientists can be undergraduate or PhD students or researchers in their first 5 years following PhD (excluding any career breaks) with submitted abstract to microsymposia: M16, M20, M26, M27, M29, M30, M31, M32, M33, M37, M38, M39, M40, M41, M42

AWARD: In-kind prize (books)

SIG-13 RSC CrystEngComm Poster Award

AWARDED FOR:  Crystal Engineering/Crystal Growth

ELIGIBILITY: submitted abstracts to microsymposia: M8, M10, M27, M28, M29, M30, M31, M32, M33, M40, MS26 Chirality: Meeting point of crystallography, chemistry and topology. Posters from other microsymposia will be considered upon request.

AWARD VALUE: 125 EUR

Bruker SCD In-house High Energy Crystallography Prize

AWARDED FOR:  Single Crystal Diffraction In-house High Energy Crystallography

ELIGIBILITY: Undergraduate or PhD students or researchers in their first 5 years of their scientific carrier. Submitted abstracts to microsymposia: M2, M11, M12, M19, M27, M28, M29, M30, M31, M32, M33, etc.

AWARD VALUE: 250 EUR

Prof. Philip Coppens ECA SIG2 Quantum Crystallography Poster Award

AWARDED FOR:  Outstanding accomplishments presented in the form of a poster during the ECA meeting in the field of broadly understood quantum crystallography, in line with the scope of the ECA SIG2.

ELIGIBILITY: The poster must be related to the field of broadly understood quantum crystallography, aligning with the scope of ECA SIG2.

Submitted abstracts to microsymposia: M11, M12, M13, M21

AWARD VALUE: gift bag, including a technology gadget in the prize range of 200€ and a voucher for a days’ worth of Beamtime on our electron diffractometer Synergy-ED.
